QUALITY CARGO CONTROL WARNING STATEMENT

                                          WARNING, READ BEFORE USE!
INFO WINCHES, WINCH BARS & WINCH TRACKS

WINCHES, WINCH BARS AND WINCH TRACKS SHALL BE USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL STATE, FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL, LOCAL
AND INDUSTRY REGULATIONS, AS APPLICABLE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW PRODUCT REGULATIONS, INSTRUCTIONS, WARNINGS AND
PROPER USE, CARE AND INSPECTION STANDARDS MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO CARGO, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH. THESE
PRODUCTS ARE USED AT THE USERS’ OWN RISK. USE OF THESE PRODUCTS DEMONSTRATES AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE
WARNINGS AND THE POTENTIAL RISKS INVOLVED.

                • Inspect the winch, winch bar and winch track before each use. Do not use if there are any signs of damage, including, but not limited to cracks,
                    distortion, deformation or corrosion.
                • Exposure to the elements, such as extreme temperatures and/or chemicals, can cause damage to winches, winch bars and winch tracks.

                • Do not attempt to repair damaged or defective products. If damage or defect is discovered product should immediately be removed from service.
                • Winches must be welded to a structurally sound frame element by a qualified technician.
                • Winches must be installed in a position so that the pawl is free-floating and pivots into the sprocket by gravity.
                • Winches should not be used for lifting, raising or lowering applications.
                • Never exceed the working load limit (WLL) of any winch. Subjecting any winch to loads beyond its stated WLL can result in damage to cargo,
                    personal injury and/or death.
                • Portable winches: Never over tighten set screws. Do not attach portable winches to rub rails. Always remove portable winches when not in use.
                • When operating, user shall secure their footing on the ground; do not stand on the load. In cases of adverse weather conditions extra precautions
should be taken to ensure safety.
                • Tighten winch by positioning the winch bar so the handle can be pulled downward to tighten. The tip of the winch bar should be inserted
through two holes to prevent slipping or damage to the winch, winch bar, personal injury and/or death. Use caution when tensioning, ensuring
that the winch pawl is fully engaged into the sprocket prior to releasing pressure on the winch bar.
                • Only use winch bars designated to be used for winches to tension and release tie-downs. “Cheater bars” or extenders should not be used.
                • Each winch must be secured in a manner that prevents it from becoming loose, opened, or released while vehicle is in transit. Periodic checks
and adjustments may be required during transit to ensure adequate tension.
                • Use extreme caution when releasing a winch as a sudden release of the handle may occur, causing serious personal injury or death.
                • Due to environmental exposure, periodic inspection, cleaning and lubrication may be necessary to ensure proper operation.
                • Refer to the applicable Federal, Provincial, State, and Local regulations.
                • Refer to the Web Sling & Tie Down Association‘s (WSTDA) recommended operating practice for specific details.

product can occur due to misapplication, overuse, abuse, intentional alteration or improper maintenance. Product failure can result in
property damage, personal injury or death.
